Ginza

After Tsukiji fish market we walked over to Ginza, passing the Kabuki theater on the way.
We arrived in Ginza just as the department stores were opening (around 10am). We walked quite a ways around Ginza and visited many locations, including the Apple store, the Sony building, Mitsukoshi department store, and Haruhinkan Toy Park. We skipped the Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and other fancy clothes shops. :)

Around noon, the main street was closed off so that it became a huge pedestrian thoroughfare and a few benches and umbrellas were set out.

The Apple store didn't look very different from the one in Bell Square.

The Sony building was very impressive. It showed off the latest gadgets from Sony, including MP3 players, laptops, robots, big screen TVs, and more. Although most of it was just a display, there was a small store on one floor and I bought a pair of pink headphones. The screen quality on their e-book reader, the Libretto, was very much like paper.

Let's just say I spent a lot of money at the toy store and leave it at that. :P
