Ueno Park

After the museum, we wandered around Ueno Park a bit, looking at Toshogu Shrine and the Temple of Benten in the middle of Shinobazu Pond. The pond is filled with lotus plants and also has a section with boats. Some of the boats are shaped like ducks and look pretty silly. We mostly saw parents with small children using the duck-shaped boats. There weren't too many students around the park, which I think is unusual but is likely due to the fact that most schools were in the middle of final exams for the quarter.

We had some ice cream and then headed off to the infamous shopping district of Harajuku.
