I want fireworks!!!
We went to Tivoli yesterday evening, having heard the fireworks the previous night (our hotel was fairly close). It is a small amusement park right in the middle of Copenhagen. Tivoli is like Six Flags meets Disneyland, but in a 5x5 block area and without any particular cartoon characters associated with it. Tivoli consists of several small rollercoasters, a variety of other thrilling rides, and many childrens rides. It also has tons of restaurants and boardwalk-style games (i.e. throw darts at balloons to win a prize.) The main thing it has going for it, is that it's open til midnight (or 1am summer weekends.) Since almost everything else in Denmark closes at 2pm or 4pm on Saturdays, it's nice that there's something to do!
Unfortunately, they had an "Eventyr" planned that evening, which turned out to be a Hans Christian Andersen parade with only a few measly fireworks and not their usual big fireworks show. :( Oh well, at least we got to see some fireworks, even if they were dinky.
